Information We Collect

We also collect business-related data you enter while configuring your account (business name, services, resources, and availability). We also collect technical and usage data through Google Analytics, such as the pages you visit, browser type, device, operating system, language, and approximate geographic location.
Account Phone Number Collection and Use
Providing a phone number through the account security flow is optional. We use that number to verify your identity and secure your account with a one-time WhatsApp verification code (OTP), not for marketing or promotions. If a business connects its WhatsApp service to Bookea.link, we process the additional business and customer identifiers described below.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Bookea.link service; to measure and analyze how our service is used; to authenticate your identity; to respond to your questions and support requests; to send transactional emails (such as booking confirmations, cancellation notices, and account verification messages); and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use various third-party services to operate Bookea.link, including: calendar synchronization services, secure cloud infrastructure, payment processors (Lemon Squeezy for international payments and Mercado Pago for payments within Argentina), transactional email and WhatsApp delivery providers, and web analytics (Google Analytics). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
Email Communications
We use a secure third-party delivery service to send transactional emails only. These include: account registration confirmations, booking confirmations sent to end-clients, cancellation or modification notices, and password reset emails. All emails are triggered exclusively by user-initiated actions and are not marketing or promotional communications. Recipients are individuals who have actively booked an appointment through a business using Bookea.link.
Anti-Spam Policy
We have a zero-tolerance policy for spam. We do not send unsolicited emails and we do not purchase, rent, or use third-party email lists. All emails sent through our Service are transactional and directly related to your use of the platform or initiated by your clients through your booking page.
Deliverability Management
To ensure the integrity of our communications, Bookea.link utilizes real-time monitoring tools (service feedback notifications). We proactively process bounce and spam complaint notifications to avoid future mailings to problematic addresses and ensure maximum deliverability.
WhatsApp Services
We use Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API to deliver requested account verification codes. Additionally, when a business connects its WhatsApp account to Bookea.link, the Cloud API enables us to provide WhatsApp communication and scheduling services on behalf of that business. WhatsApp services are also subject to Meta’s and WhatsApp’s applicable terms and privacy policy, available at https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Data Processed for Connected WhatsApp Services
When a business connects its WhatsApp service to Bookea.link, we process its WhatsApp Business account and phone identifiers, together with the connection information needed to establish and operate the integration. We also process the WhatsApp phone and profile identifiers of customers who communicate with the connected business, as well as message content, timestamps, message identifiers, and appointment details supplied or generated during those conversations.
How We Use Connected WhatsApp Data
When a business connects its WhatsApp service to Bookea.link, we use this data to enable that business to manage WhatsApp customer communications through Bookea.link. This includes receiving and responding to customer messages, answering service inquiries, consulting availability, creating or managing appointments, and providing customer support. We also use the data to operate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the integration and to prevent duplicate processing.
How Connected WhatsApp Data Is Processed and Shared
Meta and WhatsApp process messages and related identifiers as the communications platform. Bookea.link may also use contracted cloud infrastructure and service providers to operate the integration. If AI-assisted scheduling is enabled, a contracted AI service provider may process the conversation data needed to answer inquiries and manage appointments on Bookea.link’s behalf. These providers may use the data only to deliver their contracted services and are subject to applicable privacy and data-protection obligations.
No Sharing for Marketing Purposes
We do not sell personal data or share mobile phone numbers or other personal information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
User Data Deletion & Opt-Out
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information at any time. A Bookea.link business user or a customer may submit a request by contacting support@bookea.link with the subject "Data Deletion Request."
We honor all removal requests promptly. Upon receiving your request, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., for tax or fraud prevention purposes).
Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and Local Storage
The Bookea.link application and our public marketing website use Google Analytics to measure usage, which may set analytics cookies or similar technologies. The application also uses strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or Google Ads personalization.
Minors
Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
